New Year's Resolutions

By definition, a New Year's resolution is a promise that you make to yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year. With 2014 right around the corner it’s time to start asking yourself what your New Year’s resolution is going to be. It’s extremely common that many people make their New Year's resolution, but don’t actually follow through with them for the entire year.
Do you have a bad habit that needs to be kicked to the curb? Do you want to look and feel better in the New Year? Or do you simply want to enjoy your life more, and live it to the fullest? Original or ordinary, big or small a resolution, is a resolution, and picking the perfect one, shouldn’t be too difficult.
We know you have the inspiration to create these resolutions, which is why we’re here to help you stay determined and be successful with each of them.
If you always want a constant reminder of what you are trying to achieve, start by simply making a list. Write down everything you want to accomplish in 2014, and put it somewhere you will see it everyday. Your refrigerator, work desk, day planner, and even your phone background are great places to keep this list!
Next, if the words on this list aren’t motivating you, watch this video we just found from the TODAY Show last Feburay. Author Kelly McGonigal of “The Willpower Instinct: How Self-Control Works and Why it Matters,” tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer how ‘Willpower’ is key to keep New Year resolutions.
#1 on the list for increasing willpower - get sleep!
McGonigal truly defines willpower, makes a ton of amazing points, and has us totally excited to enter 2014!
